Lost Season 6 Theatrical Commercial (ABC Network) 2007

I was director, background designer and lead animator on this theatrical ad promoting the sixth season of the ABC series "Lost". Though the look and animation mimic vintage movie lobby ads, all the art and animation is original.

Three character animation driven spots I conceived, designed, directed, animated and composed music for in 2010 for the pan African children's network "Africa's Best Channel".

The Punisher Opening Titles (Marvel/Lionsgate) 2004

Disney Parks Cinema Spot (Disney) 2013

I was director, lead animator and designer on this theatrical spot for Disney theme parks

I was co-animator, co-director and co-designer of the title sequence for this 2004 feature film from Marvel.

Three animated logos I designed, directed, animated and scored in 2010 for the pan African children's network "Africa's Best Channel".

NOGGIN “What Sparks You?”

(Noggin/Nickelodeon/Sesame Workshop) 2000

I was director, character and background designer, music composer and lead animator on this animated spot promoting the Nickelodeon/Sesame Workshop network "Noggin".

Ohio Lottery "Win For Life" (Duck Studios) 2003

I was co-designer, co-director, co-animator and composer for this Telly Award winning television spot for the Ohio Lottery.

Scenes from three Gansito commercials I directed, showing integration of live action and animation.

independent films...

"Echo of the Ghetto" 2017 

Featuring live puppets integrated into an animated world, "Echo" is based on several photographic essays I made of the South Bronx since the late 1980s.  I did all puppet fabrication and performances, character animation and compositing.

"No Bongo Ting Kwa Kwa" 2015 

A mix of animation and live puppetry, "No Bongo Ting Kwa Kwa" has screened in several major venues including the REDCAT Theater in Los Angeles, Brooklyn Academy of Music and as an invitational selection at the Traverse City Film Festival 

"Pachelbel Kanon" 2009

"Pachelbel Kanon" screened extensively around the world, including Brooklyn Academy of Music, The REDCAT, the Bloor Cinema (Toronto) and had theatrical distribution via Laemmle Theatres.  It also aired on PBS in 2009.  I did all animation and art in this film.

"Me Love to Drive on the Sidewalk" 2016

After being picked up for distribution by Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas as an opening short for Happytime Murders, "Me Love to Drive on the Sidewalk" screened over 2000 times across the country this year.  I directed this film and also built and performed all puppets, did all animation and composited it in After Effects.

"Family" 2011

"Family" had many theatrical screenings including UCLA's Royce Hall (where it opened for Kid Koala and KK Barrett's Nufonia Must Fall), Brooklyn Academy of Music, and in several more international venues (many times as the opening film for Sylvain Chomet's The Illusionist).

"The Partridge Enemy" 2016 (trailer)

"The Partridge Enemy" is a mixture of original puppet footage and animation digitally inserted into clips from Fritz Lang's Metropolis.  The film premiered in 2016 at the American Cinematheque/Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood and has since screened extensively across the US.  

"It's a Lovely Day" 2014

"It's a Lovely Day" had a long theatrical run in 2014 as the opening film for the Beatles' 50th Anniversary re-release of A Hard Day's Night at such venues as the Egyptian Theater (Hollywood), the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema chain and the Bryn Mawr Film Institute.  In 2016 it had another theatrical run in support of the Beatles Eight Days a Week documentary and again in 2018 as an opening film for the re-release of the Beatles' Yellow Submarine.

"Santa's Got a Brand New Cadillac" 2015

"Santa' has screened at the Steve Allen Theater in Hollywood and the Marie Hitchcock Puppet Theater in San Diego.

"Fluffy Vogel" end credits 2014

An example of mixing computer graphics, live puppetry and animation I did for a television series pilot...

"Speramus Meliora" 2014

An experimental musical documentary about the 1967 Detroit Riots that I created with archival footage and digital animation.

Network Television...

High School USA (FOX, 2014)

I worked as a lead animator and layout artist on this prime time series (and animated the entire scene in the clip).

Lucas Brothers Moving Company (FOX, 2015)

As with High School USA, I worked as a lead animator and layout artist on this series (and animated the entire scene included here).

Angry Little Asian Girl (M-Net America, 2014)

I was animation director, lead animator and animation supervisor on this series (created by Lela Lee and starring Margaret Cho).  I directed, animated and composed the music for the scene in this clip.

Attention Deficit Theater (CW Network, 2016)

For this sketch comedy series I served as director and producer of all animated and puppet sequences.  I did the puppeteering and animation in this clip, as well as the puppet fabrication and After Effects compositing.  (Note: my work ends at 42 seconds in the clip)

Theatrical Work...

Shilo Kloko 2017

Shilo Kloko is an interdisciplinary live performance piece I co-created. produced, scored and performed between 2017 and 2018.  Featuring live puppets, animated video and Butoh performance, Shilo Kloko was presented at many large theatrical events alongside the Muppets, the Kids in the Hall and Kate MicucciShilo Kloko received a production grant from Highways Performance Space in Santa Monica and won the 2018 Hollywood Fringe Festival Scholarship award.
